Eligibility Test
This is for dancers with movement experience who want to join our more advanced, subtle partner work.
Why we need this
This program is more advanced than regular social dancing. It asks for body awareness, control, balance, and the ability to move with subtle partner communication. A quick eligibility check helps us place you at the right level and keep the learning safe, smooth, and enjoyable.
Movement Requirements
- Standing: one stable standing asana with good alignment
- Balancing: one balancing asana with control and focus
- Backbend: one safe backbend with comfortable opening
- Inversion: one inversion or inversion prep with confidence
Rhythm Test
We also check whether you can move your body with the rhythm, pause, and change timing without losing balance or connection.
This matters because subtle partner dances depend on sensing rhythm internally, not just following steps.
Pranayama Practice
Pranayama is part of the eligibility because breath control supports calm movement, focus, and clean energy. We also teach basic pranayama so you can build this foundation safely.
- Slow nasal breathing for steadiness
- Basic breath awareness before movement
- Gentle inhale and exhale counting
- Simple guided breath practice with an instructor
What we look for
- At least one asana in each category: inversion, backbend, standing, and balancing
- Comfort moving through rhythm and musical accents
- Basic coordination, grounding, and spatial awareness
- Openness to subtle leading and following
- Mantra and yoga practice for at least one year
- Basic pranayama practice
- Willingness to be initiated by us if needed
- Commitment to clean energy practice and respectful personal discipline
Clean energy practice
We value clean energy practice because subtle partner dances depend on clarity, calmness, and presence. Regular mantra and yoga practice helps keep the body steady, the mind clear, and the connection more refined. This creates a better space for deep learning and sensitive partner work.
Initiation option
If you do not yet have the full practice background, you may still apply for initiation with us. We can guide you into the practice path and help you build the foundation safely and respectfully.
